Job Summary
We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Skylight Installer to join our dynamic construction team. In this role, you will be responsible for installing, repairing, and maintaining skylights on residential and commercial buildings. Your expertise will help enhance natural lighting and energy efficiency for our clients. Duties
- Measure and assess installation sites to ensure proper fit and alignment of skylights according to blueprints and schematics
- Prepare surfaces by cleaning, framing, or repairing existing structures using hand tools, power tools, and carpentry techniques
- Install skylights securely onto roofs following proper installation protocols using aluminum flashings and weatherproofing materials
- Read and interpret construction drawings, schematics, and blueprints to follow project specifications accurately
- Perform heavy lifting of materials and equipment safely while adhering to safety protocols at all times
- Conduct quality inspections during and after installation to ensure durability, insulation, and aesthetic standards are met
- Collaborate with team members on framing, metal stud framing, masonry, or roofing tasks as needed for comprehensive project completion
- Requirements
- Proven experience in construction site work with a focus on roofing, framing, or remodeling projects
- Proficiency in using hand tools, power tools, scaffolding, and fabrication equipment safely and effectively
- Ability to read blueprints, schematics, and technical drawings with confidence
- Knowledge of construction estimating processes for material needs and project planning
- Physical strength and stamina for heavy lifting, working at heights, and extended periods of standing or climbing ladders
- Familiarity with caulking, trim carpentry, drywall installation, taping and mudding
Prior experience in restoration or handyman work involving carpentry/woodworking is advantageous.
