Duties
- Perform thorough cleaning of hotel rooms, including dusting, vacuuming, mopping floors, changing linens, and sanitizing bathrooms to ensure a spotless environment.
- Handle various cleaning agents and chemicals safely
- Use specialized cleaning equipment such as vacuums, floor buffers, and steam cleaners to achieve optimal cleanliness and floor care standards.
- Conduct detailed sanitation procedures in guest rooms and public areas, ensuring compliance with health regulations and hotel standards.
- Assist with heavy lifting tasks related to moving furniture or supplies, adhering to manual handling safety guidelines.
- Follow hotel emergency procedures promptly and effectively in case of incidents or safety concerns.
- Maintain cleanliness logs, report any maintenance issues or damages, and ensure all cleaning supplies are stocked and organized for efficient workflow.
Experience
- Prior janitorial or custodial experience in a hotel or hospitality setting is highly preferred.
- Familiarity with hotel housekeeping management practices and hotel emergency procedures enhances your suitability for this role.
- Physical ability to perform heavy lifting, manual handling tasks, and stand for extended periods is necessary.
- Previous hotel experience or hospitality background will help you excel in maintaining high standards of cleanliness and sanitation.
