Assembly Field Service Technician Details:
-
Contract to Hire position
-
$25.00 to $28.00 /hour
-
First Shift
-
Assemble, install, and commission food processing and packaging equipment from start to finish.
-
Travel to customer sites to troubleshoot, repair, and service automated machinery.

Provide hands-on customer training and technical support to ensure successful equipment operation.

Read and interpret mechanical and electrical schematics to diagnose and resolve system issues.

Manage multiple projects while maintaining accurate service reports, work logs, and installation documentation.
Assembly Field Service Technician Qualifications:
-
5+ years of field service technician experience, preferably supporting electrical or automated equipment in the food processing industry; technical or college degree preferred.

Strong mechanical, electrical, and troubleshooting skills, including the ability to read mechanical and electrical schematics and work with pneumatic systems, PLCs, and automation equipment.

Must be willing and able to travel up to 50%, including domestic and international travel, and adapt to flexible work schedules while supporting customer sites. (Only when hired after contract period)

Physical and safety requirements: must be able to lift 50 lbs., safely operate a forklift, and follow job site safety and lockout/tagout procedures.

Basic screening requirements: valid driver's license with a good driving record, strong customer service and communication skills, computer proficiency (Microsoft Office), and the ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
