Physical Therapist Assistant (PTA) – Pediatric Home, Community & Clinic-Based Services
S&M Therapy Center is seeking a compassionate, dependable, and motivated Physical Therapist Assistant (PTA) to join our growing multidisciplinary pediatric team. This position offers the opportunity to provide high-quality physical therapy services to children in their homes, community settings, and our outpatient clinic, while working alongside experienced Physical Therapists, Occupational Therapists, Speech-Language Pathologists, and ABA professionals.

Job Responsibilities
Under the supervision of a licensed Physical Therapist, the PTA will:
- Implement individualized treatment plans developed by the supervising Physical Therapist.
- Provide pediatric physical therapy interventions to improve:
- Gross motor development
- Balance and coordination
- Functional mobility
- Strength and endurance
- Postural control
- Gait training
- Range of motion
- Monitor patient progress and accurately report findings to the supervising PT.
- Document all treatment sessions thoroughly, accurately, and in a timely manner.
- Educate and collaborate with parents and caregivers regarding home exercise programs and carryover strategies.
- Maintain compliance with all HIPAA, Medicaid, insurance, and state documentation requirements.
- Communicate effectively with families and interdisciplinary team members.
- Participate in team meetings when requested.
- Maintain a professional, compassionate, and child-friendly therapeutic environment.
- Demonstrate flexibility while traveling between home, clinic, and community visits.
QualificationsRequired
- Graduate from an accredited Physical Therapist Assistant program.
- Current Florida PTA License in good standing.
- CPR Certification.
- Reliable transportation.
- Valid Florida Driver's License and current auto insurance.
- Excellent communication and organizational skills.
- Ability to work independently while maintaining collaboration with supervising PTs.
Preferred
- Pediatric therapy experience.
- Experience with early intervention or developmental disabilities.
- Bilingual (English/Spanish) is a plus.
- Experience with electronic documentation systems.
