Position Summary
The Student Choice & Intervention Scheduling Assistant provides casual support to the administrative team responsible for secondary student-choice, intervention, and academic support periods. This position assists with routine scheduling activities related to student enrollment, placement, and weekly schedule adjustments within designated student support and choice opportunities. The role is intended to provide operational assistance and does not carry responsibility for the development, management, or oversight of the secondary master schedule, and it will be reviewed for renewal on an annual basis.
This casual position is expected to provide approximately 5-8 hours per week of support and may be performed in addition to existing district responsibilities. Overtime may be considered, consistent with established work schedules and district procedures.
Essential Responsibilities

Assist administrators and designated scheduling staff with student placements in intervention, enrichment, advisory, WIN, FLEX, Royal Connect, or other student-choice periods.

Support weekly schedule adjustments and student roster updates for designated support and choice opportunities.

Enter, verify, and maintain scheduling information within student information and scheduling systems.

Assist with monitoring enrollment levels and identifying sections that may require administrative review or adjustment.

Support communication and coordination related to student placement updates and scheduling changes.

Prepare and maintain reports, spreadsheets, and other records used to support intervention and student-choice scheduling processes.

Provide clerical, organizational, and technical support related to student-choice and intervention scheduling activities.

Perform other related support duties as assigned.
Qualifications

Prior experience working with school scheduling processes, student information systems (Infinite Campus), or scheduling technology is preferred.

Employment Status
This is a casual, non-bargaining unit position and is not represented by any collective bargaining agreement. The position may be assigned in addition to an employee's existing responsibilities, subject to administrative approval. The role serves in a support capacity only and does not have formal responsibility for the development, implementation, or oversight of the secondary master schedule.
Schedule & Compensation:
Hours: 5-8 hours per week, 175 Days
Hourly Rate: $26.24 - $33.51 per hour DOE
