The Wick Hotel is seeking an energetic, dependable, and guest-focused Bartender/Server to join our Food & Beverage team. This is a unique hybrid position ideal for someone who enjoys variety and thrives in a hospitality environment where no two days are the same.
As our restaurant continues to grow, this position will split responsibilities between bartending and serving while delivering exceptional guest experiences in our restaurant, lounge, and event spaces. Because of the boutique nature of our hotel, our Front Desk team also assists with food and beverage service during slower periods, making teamwork and communication essential.
What You'll Do
- Prepare and serve alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages following all applicable laws and responsible service practices.
- Provide friendly, attentive table service for breakfast, dinner, and lounge guests.
- Create a welcoming atmosphere by engaging with hotel guests and local patrons.
- Take food and beverage orders accurately using our POS system.
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the bar, dining room, and service areas.
- Restock bar supplies, glassware, and service items throughout each shift.
- Assist with banquet and special event service as needed.
- Help with opening and closing duties, including cleaning, cash handling, and side work.
- Work collaboratively with the kitchen, front desk, and hotel leadership to provide a seamless guest experience.
- Follow all food safety, sanitation, and alcohol service standards.
Qualifications
- Previous bartending and/or serving experience preferred.
- Knowledge of beer, wine, cocktails, and responsible alcohol service.
- Friendly, professional, and guest-first attitude.
- Ability to multitask and work efficiently in a fast-paced environment.
- Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
- Must be able to stand for extended periods and lift up to 40 pounds.
- Availability to work evenings, weekends, and holidays.
