American Traveler is seeking an experienced ICU RN for a night shift CCU (Coronary Care Unit) travel assignment in Wichita, KS, requiring a minimum of 1 year of acute care ICU experience and active BLS, ACLS, and NIH Stroke certifications.

CCU (Coronary Care Unit) in an acute care hospital setting

26-bed unit staffed with 13 RNs, 1 Charge Nurse, and 1 Patient Care Tech per shift

Patient ratio of 1:2

Procedures performed include heart catheterizations, balloon pumps, CRRT, hypothermia, cardioversion, central lines, and medication drips

Equipment used includes balloon pumps, CRRT machines, and hypothermia devices

EMR: Meditech (prior experience preferred)

Night shift: 7:00 PM – 7:00 AM

13-week contract

Active RN license — KS license or compact RN license required

Required certifications: BLS, ACLS, and NIH Stroke Scale — AHA or ARC accepted; certifications must not expire within the first 30 days of the assignment start

Minimum 1 year of recent acute care hospital ICU experience required

US SSN and date of birth required for consideration — no Canadian SSNs accepted

No gaps in work history of 90 days or more within the past 12 months

Prior Meditech EMR experience is preferred

Prior travel experience in large facility ICU units is preferred

Candidates must reside more than 50 miles from the facility — local candidates are not eligible

One professional reference is required (two references required if licensed in Florida or Missouri)
