Medical Assistant / Healthcare Support Team Member

A growing healthcare practice in Sidney, Ohio is seeking a motivated, dependable, and compassionate individual to join our team. We are open to hiring an experienced Medical Assistant or a candidate with healthcare experience who is willing to be trained for the position.

Responsibilities Include:
- Rooming patients and preparing them for appointments
- Obtaining vital signs and documenting patient information
- Assisting providers with patient care and office procedures
- Answering phones and assisting with patient communication
- Scheduling appointments and managing patient flow
- Performing medication reconciliations
- Assisting with prior authorizations, referrals, and other clinical documentation
- Maintaining accurate electronic medical records
- Providing exceptional customer service to patients and families
- Supporting daily office operations and working collaboratively with the healthcare team
Preferred Qualifications:
- Previous experience in a healthcare setting such as a medical office, hospital, nursing facility, home health agency, pharmacy, or behavioral health setting
- Familiarity with medical terminology
- Strong computer and documentation skills
- Excellent communication and organizational abilities
- Ability to multitask and work independently
- Positive attitude and willingness to learn
- Medical Assistant certification is preferred but not required
- BLS certification is a plus
