Location: Arlington, VA 22205
Position: Radiology Scheduling Clerk
Pay Rate: $26.60/hr
Duration: 13 weeks
Expected Shift: 40 hrs/week
8am – 5pm, Mon-Fri (Onsite)

Important Call Outs:
Minimum 1 year of recent Radiology scheduling experience required.
Epic EMR experience strongly preferred.
High-volume outpatient Radiology scheduling environment.
Primary responsibility is accurately processing and entering 150–200 physician imaging orders received via fax each day into the scheduling system.
Exceptional attention to detail is required, as transcription or order entry errors can result in incorrect procedures being scheduled, insurance authorization issues, delays in patient care, and patient safety concerns.
Experience with patient registration and insurance verification is strongly preferred.
Ideal Candidate:
We're seeking a detail-oriented healthcare professional with at least one year of recent Radiology scheduling experience who thrives in a fast-paced outpatient imaging environment.
The ideal candidate will have:
Recent experience scheduling outpatient imaging procedures such as CT, MRI, Ultrasound, X-Ray, Mammography, or other Radiology modalities.
Experience working in Epic or another hospital scheduling system.
Experience with patient registration and insurance verification.
Exceptional attention to detail and the ability to accurately process 150–200 physician imaging orders per day.
Strong organizational, communication, and customer service skills.
The ability to work independently while maintaining accuracy in a high-volume scheduling environment.
Required Qualifications
Education:
High School Diploma or equivalent required.
Experience:
Minimum 1 year of recent Radiology scheduling experience required.
Experience scheduling outpatient imaging procedures.
Experience working in a fast-paced healthcare scheduling environment.
Technical Skills:
Epic EMR experience strongly preferred.
Strong computer and data entry skills.
Knowledge of medical terminology.
Ability to accurately review and interpret physician imaging orders.
Strong keyboarding skills with exceptional accuracy.

Key Responsibilities
Accurately process and transfer 150–200 physician imaging orders received via fax each day into the scheduling system.
Review physician imaging orders for completeness and accuracy before scheduling appointments.
Schedule outpatient Radiology procedures including CT, MRI, Ultrasound, X-Ray, Mammography, and other imaging modalities.
Verify patient demographics and complete patient registration.
Perform insurance verification and obtain required patient information prior to scheduling.
Coordinate with physician offices, patients, and internal departments regarding scheduling, registration, appointment preparation, and follow-up.
Maintain accurate documentation within Epic and other scheduling systems.
Ensure appointments are scheduled correctly to support timely patient care and insurance requirements.
Demonstrate exceptional attention to detail, recognizing that even minor transcription or scheduling errors can impact patient care, insurance authorization, scheduling accuracy, and reimbursement.
Deliver outstanding customer service while working in a collaborative, high-volume scheduling environment.
