Duties
- Assist with food preparation, including chopping, slicing, and dicing ingredients using knives and other kitchen tools.
- Maintain high standards of food safety and hygiene throughout the cooking process.
- Support the cooking staff by preparing ingredients for catering events and restaurant service.
- Ensure that all kitchen equipment is cleaned and maintained according to health regulations.
- Collaborate with team members to ensure timely service during busy periods.
- Follow recipes accurately to ensure consistency in food quality.
- Participate in inventory management by tracking supplies and reporting shortages.
Qualifications
- Previous experience in a restaurant or food service environment is preferred but not required.
- Knowledge of food safety practices and proper food handling techniques.
- Ability to work efficiently in a team-oriented atmosphere.
- Strong communication skills and the ability to follow directions accurately.
- A passion for cooking and willingness to learn new culinary skills.
- Flexibility to work various shifts, including evenings and weekends as needed.
- Familiarity with catering operations is a plus.
- Must be at least 19yrs of age.
