Duties
- Assist with meal preparation, including food handling, cooking, and plating to meet guidelines and menu specifications
- Prepare a variety of dishes using techniques such as grilling, and food production methods suitable for high-volume environments
- Follow strict food safety sanitizing procedures to maintain a clean and safe kitchen environment
- Serve meals efficiently while maintaining excellent customer service standards and ensuring proper food presentation
- Handle food with care, adhering to food safety management protocols to prevent contamination or spoilage
- Maintain cleanliness of kitchen equipment and work areas through regular sanitizing and organization
Qualifications
- Prior experience in dietary departments or as a dietary aide is highly preferred
- Strong background in food preparation, including skills in grilling, braising, poaching, and general cooking techniques
- Familiarity with food safety standards and sanitizing procedures within the food industry
- Experience with menu planning, meal preparation, and high-volume production environments
- Knowledge of culinary practices such as knife skills and food handling safety protocols
- Previous restaurant or catering experience is advantageous
- Ability to work efficiently on the 2nd shift schedule while maintaining attention to detail and quality standards

Pay: $12.00 - $14.00 per hour
