General Responsibilities:
- Strategic Initiatives:
- Implement changes to enhance efficiency.
- Serve on the leadership team to contribute to strategic planning and organizational growth.
- Work with leadership to ensure decisions align with the organization’s culture and philosophy.
- Leadership Management Accountability (LMA):
- Celebrate and develop key individuals within the organization.
- Oversee customer service and provide guidance to establish positive and collaborative relationships.
- Directs and implement systems management, including quality and safety.
- Oversees critical manufacturing projects and continuous improvement engineer.
- Oversees IT management.
- Oversees Accounting.
- Ensure the department and operations are appropriately staffed and organizationally aligned to meet food safety objectives.
- Ensures the integrity and continued operation of the food safety system in the event of organizational or personnel changes.
- Risk Identification and Analytics:
- Identify strategic risks and conduct data analysis to support decision-making.
- Utilize methodologies to improve processes and establish lean, organized, and clean environments.
- Operational Management of KPIs:
- Use data analytics tools to monitor KPIs and make data-driven decisions.
- Generate reports and present findings to the management team.
- Establish and maintain key performance indicators to track operational success.
- Product Development and Innovation:
- Collaborate with R&D teams to develop new materials, products, or processes.
- Recommend innovations to enhance product quality and sustainability.
- Supply Chain Optimization:
- Optimize the supply chain to minimize lead times and reduce costs.
- Oversee the Purchasing and Production support.
- Establish strong relationships with suppliers and logistics partners.
- Environmental Sustainability:
- Implement eco-friendly practices and materials to meet sustainability goals.
- Monitor and report on sustainability metrics and compliance.
- Regulatory Compliance:
- Stay updated with industry regulations and ensure adherence to safety and environmental standards.
Education and Experience:
- Bachelor’s degree in Business, Engineering, or a related field; a master’s degree is preferred.
- Proven experience in operations management, preferably within the plastics industry.
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
- Proficiency in data analysis and relevant software tools.
- Knowledge of market research methodologies and sustainability principles.
- Ability to work collaboratively with cross-functional teams and manage projects effectively.
- Excellent negotiation, leadership, and interpersonal skills.
- Strong time management and multitasking abilities.
- Flexibility to work outside of standard hours when needed.
