Maintain sanitation of kitchen environment. Maintain inventory of food and supplies in kitchen. Check food for freshness, maintain standard. Dispose expired food. Notify the Administrator of the need to purchase (replenish food and/or supplies). Serve food that is attractive, fresh and with correct temperature, in the correct amount. Follow diet orders; be aware of food allergies (lists from Nurse).
· Always wear gloves and hair net when handling and serving food.
· Set up trays, napkins, plates etc. for breakfast, meals and snacks.
· Sanitize surfaces (counters, drawers, tables, cabinets, kitchen floor) daily. Use gloves to protect hands when sanitizing.
· Clean and sanitize refrigerators as needed, at least weekly on Fridays.
· Check emergency food weekly, dispose of expired food and notify Administrator for replacement.
· Daily inventory check and report what is needed.
· Assist with activities and client ADL as needed.
· Other duties as assigned.
