Position Summary
We are looking for an experienced Construction Project Manager to oversee the reconstruction and repair phase of our restoration projects. You will be responsible for taking projects over immediately following the mitigation phase, scoping the repairs, hiring and managing subcontractors, and driving the project to a successful, profitable finish.
The ideal candidate isn't just a builder; you are a problem-solver who can navigate the complexities of insurance property claims while delivering exceptional craftsmanship and customer service.
What You'll Do (Responsibilities)
- Project Execution: Manage multiple residential and commercial rebuild projects simultaneously, ensuring they stay on schedule, within budget, and up to code.
- Subcontractor Management: Source, vet, schedule, and oversee specialized subcontractors (carpenters, drywallers, painters, flooring installers, etc.).
- Insurance Coordination & Supplements: Review Xactimate estimates, identify missed items or code upgrades, and successfully negotiate supplements with insurance adjusters.
- Financial Oversight: Manage project job-costing, approve subcontractor invoices, and ensure maximum profitability on every build-back.
- Customer Journey: Maintain clear, empathetic communication with property owners, guiding them through material selections and timelines to secure the final Certificate of Satisfaction (COS).
What We Are Looking For (Requirements)
- Required Experience: Minimum 3–5 years of experience as a Construction Project Manager, specifically within the insurance restoration or residential remodeling industry.
- Xactimate Literacy: Strong understanding of Xactimate estimating and how to read/interpret insurance scopes.
- Subcontractor Network: A proven ability to recruit, manage, and hold trades/subcontractors accountable.
- Tech-Savvy: Proficiency with restoration management software (e.g., DASH, JobNimbus, Buildertrend, or Encircle).
- Compliance: Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record, and the ability to pass a background check/drug screening.
