Description
Due to Westway Construction's continued growth and expansion, we are looking to add a Senior Superintendent to our DFW team. In this role, you will oversee multiple hospital construction projects ranging from $1 million to $20 million in size, while leading and mentoring Field Engineer and Superintendent teams. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience managing projects in existing healthcare facilities, strong leadership skills, and the ability to build lasting client relationships while ensuring projects are completed safely, on schedule, and within budget.

Essential Job Functions
- Lead and enforce jobsite safety planning, execution, and documentation
- Develop and execute pre-job and project execution plans
- Create and maintain Site Utilization Plans
- Manage CPM baseline schedules, monthly schedule updates, narratives, and schedule revisions
- Mentor, develop, and manage Field Engineers and Assistant Superintendents
- Coordinate equipment needs with Project Managers
- Review subcontractors pay applications to ensure progress aligns with completed work
- Coordinate, schedule, and manage subcontractors and vendors
- Conduct weekly subcontractor coordination meetings
- Monitor project progress and proactively resolve construction challenges
- Maintain accurate labor, timekeeping, and project cost records
- Review labor and job cost reports and implement corrective actions as needed
- Ensure compliance with all project reporting requirements, including daily reports, look-ahead schedules, and schedule updates
- Plan, staff, and manage self-performed work activities
- Oversee and maintain project quality control standards
- Maintain a clean, organized, and professional jobsite
- Manage subcontractor change orders and back charges to protect project profitability
- Lead project closeout activities in accordance with contract requirements
- Build and maintain strong relationships with clients, subcontractors, vendors, and internal teams
Required Skills and Qualifications
- 5+ years of experience as a Superintendent on projects within existing hospitals
- Strong knowledge of healthcare construction practices, scheduling, safety, and quality control
- Proven experience leading field teams and managing multiple concurrent projects
- Strong communication, leadership, and problem-solving skills
- Ability to effectively manage client relationships and project stakeholders
- Ability to delegate responsibilities while remaining hands-on when needed
