Job Title: Part-time Caregiver – Weekdays and Weekends
Location: Austin, Texas
Schedule:
- Days: Monday – Friday 10am-2pm
- Saturday-Sunday 10am-2pm
- Time: 10am - 2pm
- Total Weekly Hours: (Monday-Sunday=28)
- Responsibilities:
- Assistance with Activities of Daily Living (ADLs):
- Provide support with personal care tasks, including bathing, grooming, dressing, and toileting.
- Assist with mobility, transfers, and ambulation based on client needs.
- Companionship:
- Offer emotional support and engage in meaningful interactions to promote the mental well-being of clients.
- Participate in recreational activities as appropriate.
- Meal Preparation:
- Assist with meal planning and preparation, adhering to dietary guidelines.
- Ensure clients receive proper nutrition and hydration.
- Light Housekeeping:
- Perform light housekeeping duties, maintaining a clean and organized living space.
- Observation and Reporting:
- Monitor clients' physical and mental conditions and promptly report any changes to the designated supervisor or healthcare professionals.
- Documentation:
- Maintain accurate and timely documentation of care provided, activities, and observations.Qualifications:
- Experience and Training:
- 1 year experience as a caregiver or completion of caregiver training programs.
- Familiarity with caregiving best practices.
- Compassion:
- Display compassion, empathy, and a patient-centered approach to caregiving.
- Communication Skills:
- Effective verbal and written communication skills.
- Ability to communicate with clients, families, and healthcare professionals.
- Physical Stamina:
- Ability to meet the physical demands of caregiving, including lifting, bending, and assisting with mobility.
- Reliability:
- Demonstrate reliability, punctuality, and a commitment to being on-call as needed.
- Background Check: Successfully pass a criminal background check and other required screenings.
