Position Summary
We are seeking a motivated, safety-conscious Electrical Apprentice to join our growing field operations team. In this role, you will work directly under the guidance of licensed Journeyman and Master Electricians, gaining hands-on field experience while completing your required practical hours. The ideal candidate exhibits a strong work ethic, mechanical aptitude, and a commitment to upholding strict workplace safety standards and code regulations. Pay will be based on the year in the apprentice program and experience.
Core Responsibilities
- Assist in the installation, testing, maintenance, and repair of electrical wiring, equipment, and fixtures.
- Measure, cut, bend, thread, and route conduit using hand tools and specialized bending equipment.
- Pull insulated wires and cables through conduit and holes in walls, floors, or ceilings.
- Terminate wires, connect switches, receptacles, and lighting fixtures, and assist with electrical panel assemblies.
- Read and interpret basic blueprints, architectural schematics, and technical drawings under supervision.
- Maintain tools, vehicles, and equipment in a clean, organized, and operational condition.
- Adhere strictly to the National Electrical Code (NEC), local building codes, and company safety protocols.
Qualifications & Requirements
- High School Diploma or GED equivalent required.
- Valid state driver's license with a clean driving record and reliable transportation to job sites.
- Active Registered Electrical Apprentice Card/License (or immediate eligibility to register with the state board).
- Basic understanding of hand tools, power tools, and basic mechanical concepts.
- Strong mathematical skills for precise field measurements and calculations.
- Excellent communication skills and a strong desire to learn the electrical trade.
Physical Demands & Workplace Safety
- Ability to lift, carry, and maneuver materials up to 50 lbs unassisted.
- Capability to stand, kneel, bend, and crouch for extended periods throughout the workday.
- Comfort working at heights on ladders, scaffolding, and scissor lifts, or in confined crawl spaces.
- Strict compliance with federal OSHA regulations, state-specific safety mandates, and proper Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) use.
- Absolute adherence to all mandatory workplace injury reporting and safety protocol rules
Pay: $20.00 - $40.00 per hour
