JOB SUMMARY
The Peninsula Site Manager leads daily operations at their assigned location, creating exceptional experiences for members while managing staff/facilities, administrative tasks, and community outreach. This role serves as the on-site leader responsible for implementing organizational standards while addressing immediate needs and opportunities. As a growing position, the responsibilities of the site manager are subject to change at any time.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS
Staff Leadership & Development
- Supervise and coordinate daily activities of site staff
- Hire staff based on company needs
- Train new staff on culture and systems
- Maintain staff schedules for the location in a timely manner
- Provide real-time coaching and support to team members while relying on SPL philosophy and culture
- Foster a positive, collaborative team culture
- Communicate operational updates and requirements to onsite staff, including running monthly staff meetings
- Provide regular feedback to staff about job performance and complete bi-annual performance reviews
Member Experience
- Ensure exceptional service standards for all members
- Address member questions, concerns, and feedback promptly
- Oversee check-in/check-out processes
- Create a welcoming, inclusive environment
- Contacting any member families in need of additional support or follow-up for repair after breakdown
Facility Operations
- Maintain facility standards for safety, cleanliness, and functionality
- Conduct daily facility inspections and report back any outstanding issues to management
- Coordinate basic maintenance and repairs
- Maintain clean closets without leftover items (fix, throw away, or put into SPL equipment library)
- Manage local inventory and supplies
- Implement safety and emergency procedures
- Responsive to any needs within the building, including during off-hours
Administrative Functions
- Maintain professional communication by managing your location’s email account and telephone system daily
- Maintain accurate attendance and participation records through SPL’s software system
- Document member concerns and resolutions via written record
- Complete weekly and monthly operational reports
- Follow policies and procedures laid out via manuals and handbooks from Executive Team
Communication & Coordination
- Serve as primary on-site point of contact
- Coordinate with other site managers on cross-location matters
- Interface with vendors for basic service needs
- Escalate significant issues appropriately
- WORK CONTEXT
Work Setting - This role operates in a high-energy, fast-paced environment that requires significant adaptability. The setting is a membership-based inclusive play space designed to be sensory-friendly for children, including those who are neurodivergent or disabled. Staff should expect typical noise levels associated with children's play environments. Due to the nature of the program, employees must possess the emotional resilience required to support children who may be experiencing behavioral or emotional challenges.
Body Positioning - The role requires a high level of physical versatility, ranging from sitting to work on a computer or iPad to standing, bending, kneeling or sitting on the floor. Must also be capable of occasionally lifting up to 50 pounds.
Work Attire - Casual.
Office Hours - Weekdays 9am - 7pm, Saturdays 8am - 5pm or Sundays as needed. Expected to be onsite 4-5 days per week for ~8 hours each day. Option to work from home 1-day depending on business operations. On-call availability when offsite.
Pay: $71,000.00 - $75,000.00 per year
