American Traveler is seeking an experienced RN for a Neuro ICU travel position working nights, with required ACLS and NIHSS certifications and a minimum of 1-2 years of ICU experience.

Neuro ICU setting within a Certified Stroke Center
-
Patient ratio is 2:1
-
Specialized procedures include EVD management, vent management, and stroke management
-
Night shift schedule: 3x12-hour shifts (6:45 PM – 6:45 AM)
-
Every other weekend required
-
Block scheduling will be considered
-
Float required to other ICU units
-
Epic EMR experience preferred
-
Active RN license (Standard or Compact) required

Current certifications required at time of consideration: BLS, ACLS, and NIH Stroke Scale (NIHSS)

Minimum 1-2 years of relevant ICU nursing experience required

Candidates must reside more than 50 miles from the facility to be eligible

2 professional references from a supervisor within the past 2 years required for consideration

First-time travelers are welcome to apply

Former permanent staff must have been separated for at least 1 year before being eligible to return as a traveler

No travel pairs or groups will be accepted

RTO of no more than 3 days will be auto-approved, and no RTO is permitted during the first week of orientation

Responsibilities include coordinating patient care, collaborating with interdisciplinary teams, conducting discharge planning, and delegating tasks to unlicensed personnel in compliance with the Board of Nursing
