The Human Resources Specialist leads DC HR operations while delivering and evaluating training that complies with periodically mandated training, improves performance, safety, and associate experience. This role partners with DC leadership and ensures compliance with policies and procedures. Responsibilities include onboarding, HRIS/payroll administration, benefits, leaves and attendance coordination, investigation support, classroom facilitation, and training program management.
Duties and Responsibilities-
Conduct and assist with new hire orientation; serve as a first point of contact for associates and managers and escalate issues appropriately.

Maintain HRIS, associate HR files, and LMS data; process status changes (transfers, promotions, wage changes); generate reports and track compliance/HR metrics.

Prepare and support weekly payroll and agency timecard processing; conduct audits and ensure data accuracy.

Support benefits open enrollment, engagement activities, and coordination of leaves of absence and separations with strict confidentiality.

Manage calendars and scheduling for HR and L&D activities; provide clerical support as needed.

Deliver and facilitate functional, compliance, and leadership development training using strong presentation and adult-learning techniques; maintain associate learning records.

Develop functional trainers, assign training schedules, and coordinate training rooms and resources.

Partner with site leadership to align training and development strategies with business needs and identify opportunities for improvement; collaborate with Supply Chain L&D to ensure consistency in content and instructional design.

Communicate policies and procedures clearly; support employee relations investigations.

Ensure adherence to SOPs and safety practices throughout training and daily operations.

Protect highly confidential information, applying sound judgment and discretion.

Model strong collaboration with DC leadership and cross functional partners (Operations, Safety, Talent).

Demonstrate proficiency with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint/Access), HRIS/Payroll systems, LMS, and preferred Warehouse Management Systems.
