Job Description
Overview
A leading hospital in the Texas Gulf Coast region is seeking an experienced Labor & Delivery Nurse Manager to oversee operations in a busy, high-acuity maternity unit. This role is ideal for a clinical leader who thrives in a fast-paced environment and is committed to delivering safe, evidence-based, patient-centered care.
Key Responsibilities
Manage daily operations of a 19-bed Labor unit, 5-bed OBED, and 3 surgical suites
Provide leadership for up to 80 FTEs, ensuring safety, quality, and performance excellence
Support postpartum and antepartum departments during on-call rotation
Work closely with the Director to implement quality and process improvement initiatives
Ensure compliance with hospital policies and regulatory standards
Monitor clinical outcomes and operational performance to drive improvements
Qualifications
Required
Minimum 1 year of recent acute care L&D leadership experience
Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN) or RN Diploma
Active Texas RN license or compact license with Texas endorsement within 60 days
Current BLS (AHA)
Preferred
Bachelor’s Degree in Nursing (BSN)
Strong leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills
