We are seeking a talented individual to join our MercerRx Pharmacy Practice at Mercer. This role will be based in in one of Mercer US Office locations. This is a hybrid role that has a requirement of working at least three days a week in the office.
As a Senior Pharmacy Benefits Consultant , you will serve as a senior resource within Mercer's Actuarial Financial Group (AFG) focusing on reviewing policy and modeling issues related to pharmacy trends. You will lead consulting engagements with large employers regarding the financial evaluation of pharmacy benefit plans and assist in negotiations with benefits carriers and vendors.
We will count on you to:
Manage pharmacy projects and junior staff in program reviews, financial assessments, implementations, plan design analyses, and financial projections.
Establish effective relationships with carriers and vendors to enhance client benefits procurement and administration.
Leverage Mercer's size and reputation to negotiate competitive rates and coverage options from carriers and vendors.
Develop sophisticated benefits design and renewal strategies while effectively communicating industry financial trends to clients and Mercer H&B consultants.
What you need to have:
BA/BS degree required; master’s degree highly valued.
8+ years of experience in Pharmacy
Superior analytical and mathematical skills, along with excellent organizational and project management abilities.
