Overview
Join our dynamic manufacturing team as an Industrial Painter, where your expertise will bring precision and quality to our production processes. In this role, you will be responsible for applying coatings, paints, and finishes to a variety of industrial components and structures, ensuring they meet strict quality standards and safety protocols. Duties
- Prepare surfaces through sanding, cleaning, and surface treatment to ensure optimal paint adhesion and finish quality
- Operate spray guns, airless paint sprayers, powder coating equipment, and other hand tools to apply coatings accurately and efficiently
- Interpret production documents, blueprints, and technical specifications to determine appropriate painting procedures and materials
- Handle materials safely using forklifts and proper materials handling techniques while adhering to safety protocols and PPE requirements
- Conduct visual color comparisons and quality inspections to ensure consistent coating color and finish standards
- Perform surface finishing tasks such as masking, touch-ups, and assembly of painted components in accordance with production schedules
- Maintain equipment cleanliness, perform routine maintenance, and document work processes following lean manufacturing principles
Requirements
- Proven experience in industrial painting, including conventional spraying, powder coating, auto painting or construction painting surface preparation
- Knowledge of coating materials, fabrication processes, machining, and construction painting techniques
- Ability to interpret technical drawings, production documents, and use precision measuring instruments accurately
- Familiarity with safety protocols including PPE use such as respirators and respiratory protection devices
- Mechanical knowledge with experience operating power tools, hand tools, spray guns, airless paint sprayers, and other relevant equipment
- Basic math skills for measurements, calculations related to coating thicknesses or material quantities
- Strong commitment to safety protocol adherence and quality standards in production environments
