Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and passionate Room Attendant to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in animal care and handling, with a focus on providing exceptional service to our clients and their pets. This role requires a love for animals, attention to detail, and the ability to work in a fast-paced environment while ensuring the highest standards of cleanliness and care.
Responsibilities
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of all rooms and common areas.
- Provide excellent customer service to pet owners, addressing any inquiries or concerns.
- Handle and care for animals with compassion, ensuring their comfort and safety.
- Assist with dog training, grooming, and pet sitting as needed.
- Perform heavy lifting when necessary, such as moving supplies or equipment.
- Ensure all animal handling is conducted safely and humanely.
- Collaborate with veterinary staff to support the health and well-being of the animals in our care.
- Keep accurate records of animal care activities, including feeding schedules and medication administration.
Experience
- Previous experience in veterinary settings or animal care facilities is preferred.
- Skills in dog handling, pet grooming, or kennel operations are highly desirable.
- Experience as a veterinary technician, assistant, or in pet sitting is a plus.
- Strong customer service skills with the ability to communicate effectively with clients.
- Familiarity with animal restraint techniques and general animal behavior is beneficial.
- Must be able to perform physical tasks including heavy lifting and prolonged periods of standing. Job Type: Part-time
Pay: $13.50 - $17.50 per hour
Expected hours: 20 – 32 per week
