Key Responsibilities:
- Assist in the construction and installation of underground and aerial fiber optic cable systems
- Perform trenching, digging, conduit placement, and backfilling
- Install handholes, pedestals, vaults, and related infrastructure
- Pull and place fiber optic cable using appropriate equipment
- Support splicing crews with preparation and basic fiber handling
- Locate and expose existing utilities safely (hand digging, potholing, etc.)
- Operate hand tools, power tools, and light construction equipment
- Follow all safety procedures and maintain a clean, organized job site
- Complete daily work reports and documentation accurately
Requirements:
- Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record
- Ability to work outdoors in all weather conditions
- Ability to lift 50+ lbs and perform physically demanding labor
- Construction or utility experience preferred (fiber experience a plus)
- Familiarity with underground utility installation practices is a plus
- Willingness to travel and work overtime as needed
- Strong work ethic, reliability, and team-oriented mindset
Pay: $20.00 per hour
