The Outbound QC Inspector is a detail-oriented and proactive employee that ensures all outgoing products meet our high standards for quality, safety, and compliance. This role is essential to our commitment to providing customers with premium products and consistent service. The Quality Control Inspector will inspect, document, and report on product quality throughout the supply chain, from warehouse receiving to final delivery, while working closely with purchasing, warehouse, and sales teams.
Duties/Responsibilities:

Work collaboratively with the warehouse personnel including order pullers, procurement, and sales team by ensuring that orders are pulled correctly and accurately according to company policy and customer specifications.

Conducts regular inspections of incoming goods, inventory, and outgoing shipments to verify quality, packaging integrity, and compliance with company specifications.

Monitor perishable goods for appearance, shelf-life, and other safety related standards.

Identify and document any product for non-conformances, discrepancies, or damages. This includes the sales teams notes or other specifications.

Maintain detailed inspection records, logs and reports for traceability and compliance.

Assist in developing and improving quality trends, concerns, and improvement opportunities.

Perform audits of inventory rotation practices (FIFO/FEFO) and storage standards.

Help train team members on quality procedures and proper product handling.

Performs other related duties as assigned/needed.
Required Skills/Abilities:

Working knowledge of food safety standards and regulatory requirements (e.g., FDA, USDA, HACCP).

Bilingual (English/Spanish) preferred but not required.
Education and Experience:

High school diploma or equivalent required; associate degree or certification in quality control, food safety, or related field preferred.

Minimum 1–3 years of experience in quality control, ideally in a food distribution, manufacturing, or warehouse environment.

Familiarity with perishables, proteins, and grocery categories is a strong plus.
Physical Requirements:

Must be able to lift and move products and packaging weighing over 75 lbs

Ability to stand, walk, bend, stoop, and lift for extended periods of time

Comfortable working in cold environments, including coolers and freezers

Must be able to wear appropriate cold-weather gear and safety equipment

Reliable transportation to and from work site is required
