- Tuesday – Friday: Main Office in Holiday, FL
- Tuesday: 7:15 AM – 3:30 PM
- Wednesday: 7:15 AM – 12:00 PM
- Thursday: 6:45 AM – 3:30 PM
- Friday: 7:15 AM – 12:00 PM
Position Overview:
We are seeking a skilled and reliable Ophthalmic Technician to join our team. The ideal candidate must be experienced in performing manual refraction, Humphrey Visual Field (HVF) testing, Optical Coherence Tomography (OCT), muscle screening, pupil assessments, and scribing. Surgical experience is a plus!
Responsibilities:
- Conduct manual refractions to assist with accurate vision assessments
- Perform Humphrey Visual Field (HVF) and Optical Coherence Tomography (OCT) testing
- Screen extraocular muscles and check pupils for abnormalities
- Assist physicians by scribing during patient visits
- Maintain accurate and detailed patient records
- Prepare exam rooms and ensure equipment is functioning properly
- Provide patient education regarding treatments and procedures
Requirements:
- Prior ophthalmic technician experience required
- Proficiency in manual refraction, HVF, OCT, muscle screening, and pupil checks
- Ability to scribe accurately and efficiently
- Strong attention to detail and excellent patient care skills
- Ability to commit to the schedule and be on time daily
- Surgical experience is a plus but not required
