Job Summary
This position is for those with and without experience. We are a restaurant so the hours are primarily in the evening. Service starts at 11am and runs til 9pm on weekdays and 9:30pm on weekends.
Duties
- Prepare ingredients and cook menu items according to standardized recipes and quality standards
- Handle food preparation tasks such as chopping, marinating, portioning, and assembling dishes efficiently
- Maintain proper food handling procedures to ensure safety and hygiene at all times
- Operate kitchen equipment safely, including knives, stoves, ovens, and mixers, demonstrating excellent knife skills
- Ensure cleanliness of workstations, utensils, and equipment to meet health regulations and food safety standards
Experience is a plus but not necessary
- Proven background in food service or restaurant environments with a focus on food preparation and cooking
- Familiarity with menu planning, meal preparation, and food industry best practices
- Strong knowledge of food safety protocols, including proper handling, storage, and sanitation procedures
- Demonstrated culinary experience with excellent knife skills and attention to detail in meal presentation
- Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced kitchen setting while maintaining high standards of quality
Pay: $13.00 - $18.00 per hour
