Youth Development Coach – CHAMPIONS Program

The CHAMPIONS Program is looking for energetic, dependable, and passionate coaches who want to make a lasting impact in the lives of children. As a Youth Development Coach, you will lead engaging physical activity sessions in local schools, helping students develop confidence, healthy habits, teamwork, and fundamental movement skills. This is more than a coaching job—it's an opportunity to mentor the next generation and positively influence young lives every day.
Duties & Responsibilities
- Lead structured physical activity and movement sessions for elementary and middle school students.
- Create a safe, positive, and engaging environment for every child.
- Teach age-appropriate movement skills, fitness, and healthy lifestyle habits.
- Encourage teamwork, confidence, respect, and perseverance.
- Serve as a positive role model both on and off the field.
- Set up and organize equipment before and after sessions.
- Communicate professionally with school staff, parents, and fellow coaches.
- Arrive prepared, on time, and ready to lead with enthusiasm.
Requirements
- Passion for working with children and making a positive impact.
- Excellent communication and leadership skills.
- Reliable transportation.
- Ability to pass a background check.
- Ability to be active for several hours, including standing, running, and demonstrating exercises.
- Experience coaching, teaching, mentoring, or working with youth is preferred.
- CPR/First Aid certification is a plus.
- A degree or coursework in exercise science, kinesiology, sports science, education, or a related field is preferred but not required.
