Job Summary
We are seeking a detail-oriented and driven Estate Disbursement Coordinator to join our growing team. This role plays a key part in supporting both the Accounting and Estate departments through accurate documentation review and coordination of financial processes across teams. The ideal candidate is highly organized, proactive, and capable of managing multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment while maintaining a high level of accuracy and professionalism.
This is a contract position with the opportunity to become a permanent role within our Accounting Department based on performance and business needs.
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct case investigations and assist with claim-related research
- Prepare and send checks accurately and timely
- Communicate with clients and representatives via phone and text regarding case status and required documentation
- Prepare and send heirship questionnaires, insurance questionnaires, and End-of-Road letters
- Draft and send FSAs and other related documentation
- Review estate-related documentation, including death certificates, letters testamentary, and related records
- Organize and maintain payment records and supporting documentation
- Conduct claim reviews to ensure accuracy and completeness
- Communicate effectively between departments to support workflow and case progression
- Manage and maintain shared spreadsheets, ensuring data integrity and timely updates
Qualifications:
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Ability to multitask and prioritize in a fast-paced environment
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, Outlook, Word)
- Ability to handle sensitive and confidential information with professionalism
- Prior experience in legal, claims, estate, or accounting environments preferred
Additional Information:
Please note that job duties and responsibilities may evolve as projects are completed and new assignments arise. Additional responsibilities will fall within the Accounting or Estate departments as needed.
Pay: From $17.00 per hour
