We are currently looking to hire an experienced, full-time Apartment Maintenance Technician for our Class A apartment community in Sussex, WI, and throughout South Eastern Wisconsin. The Maintenance Technician will assist in maintaining the physical integrity of the community by providing a quality living environment for our residents at all times. This individual is responsible for responding to resident requests for maintenance service in a courteous and professional manner and following through on the completion of all work requests. This candidate will also assist in the turnover of apartments for move-in and in maintaining our grounds and curb appeal.
Responsibilities/Daily tasks include, but are not limited to:
- Ensuring the physical aspects of the property meet the company’s established standards
- Diagnosing problems and making repairs in areas such as HVAC, electrical, plumbing, pool, carpentry, drywalling, exterior structural, and appliance
- Painting
- Janitorial duties
- Landscape Maintance
- Preparing apartments for move-in
- Maintaining leasing centers & recreational facilities
- Performing all the above and other related duties as assigned in accordance with applicable laws and company policies
Qualifications/Requirements:
- Technical school preferred; High School Diploma or G.E.D required
- No Maintenance experience necessary
- Prior apartment maintenance or construction experience preferred
- Proficient in reading, writing, grammar, and mathematical skills
- Ability to work well independently, as well as within a team environment
- Possess basic tools to perform apartment/building maintenance
- Possess valid driver’s license
- Must be available for required on-call rotation (above 40-hr work week)
- Must pass drug screening test
