The Operations Manager position is accountable for overseeing the everyday operations of the Columbia Division warehouse. The importance of our Operation Manager's performance and professionalism cannot be overstated.
Requirements:
- Diverse knowledge of quality control systems and documentation.
- Knowledge of OSHA and general safety requirements.
- Excellent communication skills (written and verbal).
- Excellent organizational skills and record keeping. Self-motivated.
- Ability to handle busy, stressful situations including multi-tasking.
- Supervisory and training skills.
- Strong computer skills.
- 5+ years of experience in the metals distribution industry including processing, machinery maintenance, cranes, etc.
- College degree a plus.
Responsibilities:
- Coordinate warehouse activities through the planning with Division Manager to ensure that company objectives are accomplished in a timely and cost-effective manner.
- Monitor overall warehouse performance for production and quality standards.
- Minimize labor overtime as necessary.
- Implement and maintain preventative maintenance programs.
- Incorporate organization and housekeeping among warehouse employees.
- Provide direction, development and leadership to warehouse employees.
- Manage and integrate quality control on a daily basis.
- Educate and train employees as to their impact in the quality management system. Interact with division management and sales personnel to identify opportunities to improve quality and establish feedback.
- Carry out supervisory responsibilities in accordance with company's policies and applicable laws.
- Participate in internal quality audits.
- Report all quality issues to Division Manager.
- Other assigned responsibilities as deemed necessary.

Pay: $80,000.00 - $95,000.00 per year
