Essential Job Duties
The School Planning and Transportation group supports Local Education Authorities (LEAs) in comprehensive planning for schools and communities (SchoolCAMP), enrollment, facilities and boundary planning (OREd) and school transportation (Bike/Ped, Transit, School Bus). This position will support multiple initiatives at ITRE that support local, state and national Public Pre-Kindergarten to 12 th grade school district operational needs through technical expertise and project leadership. This position combines demographics, transportation, land use, and community needs utilizing current best practices in K12 Operations and quality Applied Research. This position will support SchoolCAMP and OREd, research and public sector planning consulting programs designed to assist LEAs with enrollment forecasting, comprehensive planning, alternatives development, impact analysis, and implementation of school facility development and boundary planning that is sensitive to local community needs and school transportation concerns. The successful individual will facilitate quality, trusting relationships with LEA leadership and staff, school board members, community partners, local elected officials, industry advocacy groups, and the research community. The person in this position is expected to support relationships with these key stakeholders and leverage these relationships to acquire future funding to sustain and grow the program, all while providing excellent service to existing partners.
