Job Overview
We are a community college theatre program who is seeking an imaginative Social Media Manager to create and manage our publicity on Meta platforms. Our accounts are used specifically to promote our productions, classes, and student accomplishments. In this role, you will craft compelling content, develop strategic campaigns, and analyze performance metrics to increase enrollment and audience engagement. This paid position offers an exciting opportunity to create a social media voice for creating online branding for a dynamic and exciting theatre program.
Responsibilities
- Develop and execute comprehensive social media strategies aligned with theatre program goals to increase visibility, engagement, and enrollment.
- Create and manage captivating content across Meta platforms, ensuring consistency in visuals and messaging.
- Utilize media editing tools to produce high-quality visual content.
- Manage social media advertising campaigns using Meta Business.
- Analyze social media performance using social media analytics tools to optimize campaigns.
- Develop consistent cross-posting and sharing practices, optimizing and growing engagement.
- Create all content—both written and graphic—without the use of AI. This is a strict policy that will be monitored and enforced.
Qualifications
- Experience in social media creation and management
- Dedication to and expertise with AI-free writing and graphic design tools
- Must have knowledge of and, preferably, experience with the theatrical process
- Excellent content creation skills including writing engaging copy and designing eye-catching graphics
- Attention to detail in spelling, grammar, formatting, and writing
- Ability to create marketing calendars and adhere to them
- Design skills that are able to match sophisticated theatrical design
- Ability to work independently and without oversight
- Strong knowledge of social media platforms’ best practices, algorithms, and advertising options
- Proficiency with media editing tools and video editing software
- Familiarity with SEO principles, keyword research, web analytics (Google Analytics), and marketing analytics tools
- Experience with social listening tools like Buffer or Hootsuite for scheduling posts and monitoring engagement metrics
