Responsibilities
- Prepare and assemble food items according to established recipes and safety standards, maintaining quality and presentation.
- Operate POS (Point of Sale) systems such as Square POS to process retail sales transactions accurately and efficiently.
- Manage customer orders with professionalism, upselling menu items to enhance guest satisfaction and increase sales.
- Handle cash register operations, including processing cash, credit card payments, and giving correct change with precision.
- Maintain a clean and organized workspace by adhering to sanitation, food safety, and food handling protocols throughout your shift.
- Operate kitchen equipment safely and efficiently, supporting food preparation activities in a quick service or fast food environment.
- Provide excellent customer service by greeting guests warmly, answering questions about menu items, and ensuring their dining experience is positive from start to finish.
Skills
- Proven experience in food preparation, food service, or quick service restaurant environments.
- Familiarity with POS systems such as Aloha POS and Micros POS for seamless transaction processing.
- Strong time management skills to handle multiple tasks efficiently during busy periods.
- Excellent customer service skills with the ability to upsell menu items confidently.
- Knowledge of food safety standards, sanitation practices, and proper food handling procedures.
- Ability to operate kitchen equipment safely while maintaining a clean workspace.
- Basic math skills for cash handling, processing transactions, and balancing registers accurately.
- Previous retail or grocery store experience is a plus for understanding sales transactions and customer interactions.
