We are seeking a passionate, well rounded, Mental Health Counselor to join our team. This role involves providing therapeutic support to individuals dealing with various mental health challenges, including those with depression, trauma, PTSD, anxiety, as well as personality disorders. The ideal candidate will have experience in outpatient settings and be skilled in a range of therapeutic modalities. You will play a crucial role in helping clients navigate their mental health journeys through effective counseling and support.
Responsibilities:
- Conduct individual and group therapy sessions tailored to the needs of clients.
- Develop and implement treatment plans based on client assessments and goals.
- Provide case management services, ensuring clients receive comprehensive support.
- Utilize various therapeutic techniques, including behavioral therapy and trauma therapy.
- Address gender issues in counseling sessions, fostering an inclusive environment.
- Maintain accurate documentation of client progress and treatment outcomes.
- Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to coordinate care for clients.
Skills
- Strong knowledge of outpatient mental health practices.
- Experience working with individuals with developmental disabilities.
- Proficiency in behavioral therapy techniques and practices.
- Skills in case management, ensuring holistic client care.
- Ability to provide direct support to clients facing various challenges.
- Understanding of gender issues and sensitivity towards diverse populations.
- Experience providing trauma therapy.
Requirements:
- Master's Degree
- Open mindedness
- Licensed in mental health counseling such as but not limited to LMHC/LICSW/LMFT or LMHC-A
- Mental health counseling: Min 2 year (Preferred)
- (Specialty Certifications Not Required but Beneficial)
- Must be currently licensed in Rhode Island
Job Type: Contract
Pay: $75,000.00 - $115,000.00 per year
