Position Summary:
We are looking for a skilled and motivated Diesel Mechanic / Service Technician to join our team. This role involves diagnosing, troubleshooting, and repairing a wide range of heavy construction equipment and diesel-powered machinery—both in our shop and in the field.
Key Responsibilities:
- Troubleshoot, diagnose, and repair mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, pneumatic, and diesel systems.
- Perform preventative maintenance on heavy construction equipment.
- Use diagnostic tools and interpret schematics to evaluate and fix complex equipment issues.
- Maintain accurate service documentation and records.
- Follow safety protocols and promote a culture of workplace safety.
- Keep a clean and organized work area.
- Collaborate with team members and communicate clearly with supervisors.
Qualifications:
- High School Diploma or GED required.
- Vocational training or certification in Diesel Technology preferred.
- 2+ years of experience servicing heavy construction equipment.
- Proficiency with high-pressure common rail fuel systems, exhaust after-treatment systems, hydraulics, and electrical troubleshooting.
- Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation.
- Must provide your own tools.
- Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Able to lift up to 50 lbs and perform physically demanding tasks, including climbing on and off equipment.
