DeLande Group, a New York City-based startup specializing in door-to-door delivery of Over the Counter (OTC) medicine to providers and retailers in archipelagos worldwide, is seeking a part-time Product & Community Specialist for its USVI sector.
The Product & Community Specialist is a unique role responsible for implementing strategic initiatives that simultaneously build and maintain relationships with key stakeholders, including clients, partners, and local communities, while also being tasked with closing sales to meet or exceed sales targets in the USVI. This position is entrusted with harnessing the collective intelligence of its market sector to promote fresh perspectives and uncover new business, partnership, and philanthropic opportunities, which significantly contribute to DeLande Group’s sustained growth and community impact. In addition, the Product & Community Specialist continuously provides solutions to client needs and pain points, drawing on their expertise in the organization’s value proposition, as well as its pipeline of products, services, and policies.
This highly visible and integral role within DeLande Group’s Marketing & Sales functional area and the local community reports directly to the Marketing Director and has potential for growth.
Responsibilities:

- Responsible for in-person visits to potential clients to establish rapport and facilitate ongoing sales efforts.
- Foster positive relationships with clients, enhance client satisfaction, and contribute to the overall success of the company.
- Understand customer needs and tailor solutions to meet their specific needs & requirements.
- Develop a strong working knowledge of DeLande Group products (OTC) and value proposition.
- Provide regular updates on market trends, competitor activities, and customer feedback to management.
- Implement strategies that enhance DeLande Group’s goal of expanding business opportunities. Strategies may include, but are not limited to, outreach through personalized phone calls, emails, LinkedIn connections, encouraging referrals, and promptly responding to incoming inquiries.
- First point of contact for customer inquiries regarding products and services offered by the company.
- Represent DeLande Group at community tabling or business events when required.

- Implement strategies to engage stakeholders in activities that promote DeLande Group mission and goals.
- Assist in the planning and coordination of events to promote activities in the community.
- Promote campaigns to increase public awareness of our organization and initiatives.
- Monitor progress of initiatives and report findings.
- Collaborate with other departments to ensure that initiatives are properly represented and communicated across all channels.

Desired Skills and Experience:
- Minimum 2 - 4 years related experience.
- Experience in sales, closing sales and customer service.
- Experience in community engagement or related field.
- Excellence in relationship building, networking and lead generation.
- Thorough knowledge of the USVI business community.
- Exceptional communication skills, verbal, written and professional presentation.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite and LinkedIn.
- Self-motivated, with ability to independently set and meet goals.
- High level of integrity, accountability, work ethic and follow-up skills.
- Ability to work independently with limited supervision.
- Must be organized with good time management skills.
Physical Conditions
Must be able to attend virtual meetings in the early mornings, evenings, and weekends as required. Must be capable of participating in and executing coordinated events. Must work effectively in a collegial work environment, assisting with responsibilities as needed or assigned, and contributing to overall teamwork. Must possess a valid driver's license and have access to your own vehicle.
