Swing Shift Heavy Equipment/Truck Mechanic

Position Summary
Maintain and repair all Rolling Stock and other company equipment; Analyze malfunctions and perform checks, repairs, and maintenance of heavy equipment and company trucks in the field and in the shop.
Duties and Responsibilities
1.) Complete required maintenance and P.M.’s on all equipment in a safe and timely manner.
2.) Keep accurate records of all maintenance performed on company equipment.
3.) Periodic Inspections of all rolling stock to ensure that operators are following through with daily inspections and proper operation.
4.) Report any safety or machinery defects immediately to supervisor and affected personnel.
5.) Be as efficient as possible in the field and shop to maximize repairs and minimize time.
6.) Pick up after yourself when completed with each task, repair, etc; and keep work area clean i.e., shop, service truck, etc.
7.) Help other employees and yourself stay safe in the workplace and abide by changing regulations i.e., MSHA, OSHA, DOT.
8.) Treat internal and external customers and vendors with respect at all times.
9.) Understand and support management decisions.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $23.00 - $35.00 per hour

Education:
- High school or equivalent (Preferred)
Experience:
- Heavy equipment/highway truck mechanics: 1 year (Preferred)
License/Certification:
- Driver's License (Required)
