JOB Clarks Summit State Hospital is actively recruiting a skilled individual to join their team as an Electrician 1. The Electrician 1 will work alongside our other skilled Electricians out of the Electrical Shop to maintain 40 buildings at our facility that spans 152 acres of land. This position requires a highly skilled, self-motivated, and independent thinker to complete assignments such as coordination, planning and layout of electrical projects for Electricians, installation of new electrical circuits, and troubleshooting of electrical issues, and repair of electrical equipment up to 480 volts of electricity.

EXAMPLE OF DUTIES
This position supports the safe and reliable electrical operation of Clarks Summit State Hospital. The role focuses on maintaining, repairing, and installing electrical systems throughout the facility. As a Electrician 1, you will perform the following duties:

Electrical Maintenance: Maintain and repair electrical equipment and lighting across the facility following established safety standards

System Installation: Install conduit, raceways, wiring, switches, outlets, and related electrical devices

Troubleshooting Tasks: Diagnose electrical problems and address issues quickly and safely

Preventative Inspections: Inspect electrical equipment as scheduled and document findings and completed work

Record Management: Keep all required paperwork, logs, and maintenance records accurate and up to date

Team Leadership: Guide lower level employees by providing direction on basic assignments

Work Schedule and Additional Information:

Full-time employment, 37.5 hours per week

Work hours are 8:00 AM to 4:00 PM, Monday - Friday, with 30-minute lunch.

Work hours may change based on operational needs.

12 person rotation for weekends and on-call holidays
