Duties
- Safely operate vehicles in compliance with DOT (Department of Transportation) regulations and safety standards
- Load, unload, and secure medical supplies and using proper manual handling techniques, including light/medium lifting and safe lifting practices (hand trucks provided).
- Drive designated routes efficiently while adhering to scheduled delivery times and traffic laws
- Verify delivery accuracy by inspecting shipments, completing load & unload documentation, and obtaining necessary signatures
- Maintain cleanliness and report needed maintenance of vehicles to ensure optimal operation
- Communicate professionally with healthcare facilities and clients to confirm deliveries and address any concerns promptly
Experience
- Proven delivery driver experience with a strong understanding of route driving and time management
- Familiarity with heavy lifting, manual handling, and safe lifting practices in a workplace setting
- Knowledge of DOT regulations related to commercial vehicle operation and weight handling in the workplace
- Excellent customer service skills with the ability to handle interactions professionally and courteously
- Valid driver’s license for Class C driver livense; clean driving record essential
