Job Summary
We are seeking a skilled Band Saw Operator to join our manufacturing team. The ideal candidate will possess a strong mechanical aptitude and experience in operating band saws and other machining equipment. This role is crucial in ensuring the precision cutting of materials according to specifications, contributing to the overall production process.
Duties
- Operate band saws to cut materials to specified dimensions and tolerances.
- Read and interpret a tape measure down to 1/16th of an inch increments.
- Maintain equipment by performing routine checks and minor repairs as needed.
- Collaborate with team members to ensure efficient workflow and adherence to safety protocols.
- Engage in quality control processes, ensuring that all products meet company standards for quality and precision.
Experience
- Proven experience operating band saws or similar machinery in a manufacturing environment.
- Forklift and overhead crane operation is a plus.
- Strong mechanical knowledge with the ability to troubleshoot equipment issues effectively.
- Basic math skills for accurate measurements and calculations related to machining processes.
