Professional Health Care of Pinellas is seeking an experienced Referral Authorization Coordinator for our busy Internal Medicine Practice. The Referral Authorization Coordinator assists with all medical management data entry and referral functions. Responsible for the total coordination and processing of all patient referrals for specialty services for several Healthcare Providers. Demonstrates a positive demeanor with providers, the healthcare team and patients.
Must have experience with insurance verification and referral processing.
Required skills: Microsoft Office product and EMR skills, eClinicalworks experience is preferred. Effective Communication skills, ability to work in a high volume patient environment, results and goal oriented, ability to set priorities and meet deadlines, strong attention to detail, Self starter, Service Excellence skills. Ability to multi-task. Quality Improvement philosophy with high level of job accuracy, efficiency and dependability. Knowledge of HIPAA. Bilingual preferred.
