Responsibilities
- Operate laundry machines such as industrial washers and dryers to clean textiles effectively while adhering to safety protocols.
- Handle various materials with care, including delicate fabrics and heavy linens, ensuring proper garment care and sanitation.
- Sort, load, and unload laundry using push carts and other materials handling equipment to optimize workflow.
- Apply laundry detergents and cleaning agents safely, following manufacturer instructions and safety standards in production.
- Maintain cleanliness of laundry areas, including sanitation of equipment and workspaces, to meet hygiene requirements.
- Assist with dry cleaning processes when necessary, ensuring textiles are properly cleaned and cared for.
- Provide excellent customer service by responding promptly to requests for laundry services and ensuring timely completion of tasks.
Requirements
- Prior experience in laundry services or hotel housekeeping is preferred but not mandatory; training will be provided.
- Ability to perform manual handling tasks including heavy lifting of linens, blankets, or other textiles safely.
- Knowledge of safety standards in production environments and adherence to safety protocol guidelines.
- Basic math skills for measuring detergents, sorting items, and managing laundry loads accurately.
- Familiarity with garment care machines such as industrial washers, dryers, and dry cleaning equipment is a plus.
- Strong attention to detail with a focus on sanitation, textile cleaning, and proper garment care.
- Excellent communication skills combined with a positive attitude toward teamwork and customer service.
