Job Title: Forklift OperatorJob Description
This role focuses on safely and efficiently picking parts, hardware, and subassemblies from the warehouse to supply the production line. You will spend most of your time operating a forklift in a high-traffic environment, while also handling some manual loading, counting, and restocking tasks. Working from printed pick sheets, you will locate items in designated bins and deliver them to specific points on the production line, supporting consistent and timely production flow.
Responsibilities-
Operate a sit-down forklift approximately 70% of the time to move parts, hardware, and subassemblies from warehouse storage to the production line.

Use printed pick sheets to identify bin locations, verify part numbers, and deliver materials to the correct destinations on the production line.

Load, unload, and count materials by hand when needed to ensure accurate order fulfillment and inventory control.

Perform regular inventory counts to maintain accurate stock levels and support production planning.

Assist with unloading trucks and receiving product, including moving materials to appropriate shelves or storage locations.

Handle materials using pallet jacks and other material handling equipment as required.

Maintain accurate documentation of picked parts, counts, and deliveries, ensuring clear and legible records.

Follow established safety procedures at all times, particularly when operating forklifts in high-traffic areas.

Use RF scanners, when applicable, to track inventory and confirm picks and deliveries.

Collaborate with warehouse and production team members to prioritize work and meet daily production and shipping schedules.

Support warehouse operations during production line shutdowns and holiday periods by performing inventory and preparation work.

Keep work areas organized, clean, and free of hazards to promote a safe and efficient warehouse environment.
Essential Skills-
At least 6 months of experience operating forklifts or similar material handling equipment.

Strong forklift operating skills suitable for a high-traffic production and warehouse environment.

Experience with basic material handling tasks, including picking, parts pulling, and packing.

Ability to read and write clearly to follow pick sheets, labels, and documentation.

Ability to understand and accurately interpret part numbers, bin locations, and delivery points.

Comfort using sit-down forklifts and pallet jacks in a busy warehouse setting.

Attention to detail to ensure accurate picking, counting, and inventory recording.

Commitment to following safety procedures and using required protective equipment.
Additional Skills & Qualifications-
RF scanner experience is a plus but not required, with training available for the right candidate.

Willingness to complete forklift training and certification during the first week of employment.

Ability to work collaboratively with warehouse and production teams to support daily operations.

Reliability and flexibility to work additional days when needed to prepare for upcoming production weeks.

Work Environment
The role is based in a production plant warehouse that moves a high volume of materials and parts every day to supply the production line. You will work primarily Monday through Thursday from 6:00 a.m. to 4:30 p.m., with frequent work on Fridays to prepare for the following week. The warehouse team also works during production line shutdowns, including holiday shutdowns, to complete inventory and preparation tasks. The environment is active and fast-paced, with regular use of forklifts, pallet jacks, and RF scanners. Steel-toed boots and safety glasses are required as part of the dress code to maintain a safe working environment.

Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $20.00 - $20.00/hr.
