PURPOSE AND PERFORMANCE GOALS
Responsible for the cleaning of dishware, glassware, flatware, pots and pans, as well as general kitchen sanitation and organization.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Essential duties and responsibilities include the following (other duties may be assigned):
- Scrapes food from dishes and washes by hand or in the machine.
- Maintains departmental sanitation standards and procedures in all kitchen areas.
- Alerts supervisor of product needs and equipment breakdowns.
- Washes worktables, walls, and refrigerators.
- Polishes chaffing dishes.
- Help maintain organization by storing flatware and dishes in appropriate locations.
- Help maintain the organization of storage areas.
- Sweeps and mops kitchen and dishwashing area.
- Remove trash.
- Must be flexible enough to cross train in Highlands or Woodlands kitchen.
- Other miscellaneous duties as assigned.
EDUCATION AND/OR EXPERIENCE
No prior experience or training.
LANGUAGE SKILLS
Must be able to communicate clearly with guests, customers, supervisors and fellow associates.
MATHEMATICAL SKILLS
Must be able to calculate amounts and apply basic addition, subtraction division and multiplication.
REASONING ABILITY
Must be able to make appropriate judgments relative to the process of supporting the cleanliness and maintenance of guest rooms/public areas.

Employees must be able to lift/push/pull 50 pounds. Job frequently requires walking, sitting, kneeling, crouching, and standing. Frequently requires reaching, grabbing, pulling, and grasping.
HOURS
Due to the business demand of the hospitality industry, and the fact that the Resort provides guest services 24 hours a day, 7 days a week, any employee may be required to work rotating shifts, including weekends, night shifts, and/or overtime. Also, depending on business demand, hours may be reduced at any time.
