Duties
- Perform a variety of nail services such as manicures, pedicures, gel nails, acrylics, and nail art with precision and creativity
- Maintain strict sanitation and sterilization protocols to ensure client safety and hygiene standards are met
- Consult with clients to understand their preferences and recommend suitable nail treatments or products
- Manage appointment schedules efficiently using salon software like Millennium or similar platforms
- Upsell retail products and promote additional services to enhance client experience and increase revenue
- Keep detailed records of services provided, client preferences, and treatment history in the salon management system
- Stay current on industry trends, new techniques, and product demos to continually improve skills and service quality
Skills
- Proven experience in nail care with proficiency in manicure, pedicure, gel application, acrylics, and nail art
- Strong knowledge of sanitation practices and safety regulations within a salon environment
- Excellent communication skills to engage clients effectively and understand their needs
- Ability to manage appointments efficiently using salon software such as Millennium or MINDBODY
- Experience with retail sales strategies to upsell products confidently and professionally
- Knowledge of advanced treatments like dermabrasion, dermal fillers (if applicable), or body waxing is a plus
- Familiarity with social media management for promoting services and engaging with clients online
- Background in cosmetology or esthetician training; additional skills in hair styling or barbering are advantageous
- Experience with specialized treatments such as eyelash extensions, tattooing, or med spa procedures is beneficial but not required
- Strong organizational skills to maintain cleanliness standards and manage multiple clients seamlessly
