Job Opportunity: Maintenance Assistant
Facility: Nursing and Rehabilitation Center
Location: Delray Beach, Florida
Shift: Full-Time | Days (8:00 AM – 4:30 PM)
Pay Rate: Up to $25/hour

Nursing and Rehabilitation Center is seeking a Maintenance Assistant to help ensure our facility remains safe, functional, and welcoming. Assist with general maintenance, preventive maintenance, facility projects, and repairs
Perform tasks such as painting, drywall patching, minor plumbing, and basic carpentry
Maintain interior and exterior grounds, equipment, and building systems in safe working condition
Ensure work areas are cleaned and organized after each shift or task completion
Respond to on-call emergency maintenance needs as required
Provide support to the Maintenance Director and oversee duties in their absence
Assist with setup and breakdown for facility events and other operational needs
2+ years of experience in a long-term care facility or hospital preferred
Ability to read, write, speak, and understand English
Strong ability to follow written and verbal instructions
Capable of making independent decisions and receiving constructive feedback
Ability to work respectfully with staff, residents, families, visitors, and regulatory agencies
Maintains proper care and usage of tools, equipment, and supplies
Strong attention to minimizing waste and maintaining clean work areas
Willingness to learn and apply new maintenance methods and practices
Ability to communicate resident-related information appropriately
Must not pose a direct threat to the safety of others
