We are seeking a dynamic and strategic Director of Operations for Mental Health to lead and optimize the daily functions of our mental health services. Duties
- Lead the development and implementation of operational policies and procedures aligned with best practices in mental health care.
- Oversee fiscal management, including budgeting, financial planning, and resource allocation to ensure sustainable growth and efficiency.
- Manage medical office operations, including staff supervision, scheduling, and workflow optimization to enhance service delivery.
- Ensure compliance with healthcare regulations such as HIPAA, CARF standards, and other relevant accreditation requirements.
- Supervise clinical staff including nurses, administrative support personnel, and other healthcare professionals to foster a high-performance team environment.
- Oversee electronic health record (EHR) systems such as Epic, eClinicalWorks, or similar platforms to maintain accurate medical records and streamline documentation processes.
- Collaborate with human resources on staffing needs, training programs, and performance evaluations to promote professional development.
- Monitor quality assurance metrics related to acute care, managed care, utilization management, and patient safety initiatives.
- Drive continuous improvement initiatives by analyzing operational data and implementing innovative solutions to enhance patient outcomes and operational efficiency.
- Maintain strong relationships with external partners including insurance providers, community organizations, and regulatory agencies to support program growth and compliance.
Qualifications
- Proven experience in healthcare management with a focus on mental health or behavioral health services; clinic or hospital experience preferred.
- Extensive knowledge of medical office management systems such as Eaglesoft, Dentrix, or similar EMR/EHR platforms.
- Demonstrated supervisory experience leading multidisciplinary teams within healthcare settings.
- Strong fiscal management skills including budgeting, financial analysis, and resource planning.
- Familiarity with healthcare regulations such as HIPAA compliance standards and CARF accreditation processes.
- Background in nursing or medical administrative support is highly desirable; clinical experience in acute or critical care settings is a plus.
- Excellent organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities effectively in a fast-paced environment.
- Proficiency in medical terminology and understanding of medical records management across various specialties including behavioral health. Pay: $68,208.17 - $82,143.17 per year
