Responsibilities:
Job Responsibilities may include but are not limited to the following:
- Help develop and maintain social media content
-
Provide project support to the Public Relations Director and Communications Director
-
Take a lead role in the KDA Photo Contest
-
Help maintain KDA website
-
Provide support at events as needed (e.g., Kansas Ag Summit)
-
Create, edit, and update promotional materials and publications (brochures, videos, social media posts etc.)
-
Provide administrative support for projects as needed for the Secretary and executive team
-
Assist with front office customer service as needed.
Qualifications:
-
Applicant should be going into their junior or senior year at an accredited college or university pursuing an advanced degree.

Ag communications, journalism and marketing majors are preferred (not required).
-
Proficient in Adobe Creative Suite including InDesign, Photoshop and Illustrator.

Knowledge of different social media platforms.
-
Strong communication ability (oral and written).
-
Excellent organizational skills.
-
Ability to meet deadlines.
-
Creativity and problem-solving skills.
-
Familiarity with video/photo editing preferred (not required).
-
This position must perform routine office tasks such as sitting, reading, examining documents, and viewing a computer for long periods of time.

Employee must have a valid Class C (or higher) Kansas driver’s license or equivalent license from another state. Employee is responsible to maintain an acceptable driving record to safely drive state vehicle and be willing and able to fulfill all job-related travel normally associated with this position.
Post-Offer/Pre-employment Requirements:
